Bonne Maman products are both well liked and well used products in (French) Switzerland. (I'm sure in France too, but I can't say since I never lived in France.) They represent quality. The name, (which I think helps) "Bonne Maman", is the most respectful and "posh" name a child can give to his/her grandmother. Less respectful/"tacky" names would be (Bonne) Meme, Mimi, etc. So, for the French, from the name to the package, I think it has to do with that grandmotherly feel to it. It could easily translate over to English as well, I guess.
haha, then I can't believe I got this stuff in Richmond, of all places. Now I think I like the brand more, from reading what you had to say. I can just picture the voice of a little French boy calling his grandmother that. I also like how much you get for your money. Can't wait to try it... thanks Katie!
