A week or two later, a nice-looking, envelope-sized packet arrived.

Nice, isn't it? There's more: Jimmy's wife Erica is not just a photographer... she's a lovely photographer! I was delighted to see such pretty photos enclosed.

Give her web site a visit; the series all seem to center around quiet contemplation and the often-overlooked (just my words, apologies to Erica if I butchered that). Beautiful & inspiring.
Oooh I love them! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletei love her style. it also reminds me of Nylon, the magazine.
ReplyDeleteI totally love the way she looks at things. That one where she's hovering in her little black dress is awesome!

Aly – No problem!
ReplyDeleteBigcityb – Sadly, I haven't picked up a Nylon in a long time! If this is any hint of the aesthetic, though, off to the newsstand I go.
Satish – That's my favorite as well :]
Anonymous – Thanks! Those are great, very cool look. I'll put it on my del.icio.us.
A really sweet idea well executed. Saying thanks is so important.
ReplyDeleteAesthetics wise I think you'd enjoy the Aussie magazines - Frankie or Russh if you can find them in NYC. If you can't let me know & I can post some to you!
Amber, they sound great! I'll check out the reliable place near my work... a news stand with all sorts of foreign magazines. I'll let you know, that is very sweet of you to offer! If that were to happen, I would of course return the favor with some fun stuff from NY :)
